BXB Cowley Hill Ltd is currently promoting proposals to regenerate the redundant land at the Cowley Hill Works.
The Cowley Hill Works is the largest brownfield allocation within the emerging St Helens Borough Council Local Development Plan. Its redevelopment will be a catalyst for the comprehensive regeneration of a significant part of the urban area of St Helens, whilst delivering much needed housing in a sustainable location.
The development will bring significant benefits to the local area, and approximately 250 jobs will be created throughout the lifetime of the project. Furthermore, the GVA generated by the development is expected to reach £75M whilst the estimated capital expenditure is £200M.
Following two extensive rounds of public consultation, a planning application has now been submitted to St Helens Borough Council. You can find out more about this application by using the reference number P/2020/0083/OUEIA on the Council’s planning portal.
